Ant-Man is a 2015 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics characters of the same name: Scott Lang and Hank Pym. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the twelfth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Peyton Reed. In the film, Lang must help defend Pym's Ant-Man shrinking technology and plot a heist against a powerful company led by Pym's former business partner. Upon release, Ant-Man grossed more than $519M worldwide, receiving mostly positive reviews. A sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, is scheduled to be released on July 6, 2018.
Description: Forced out of his own company by former protégé Darren Cross, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) recruits the talents of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), a master thief just released from prison. Lang becomes Ant-Man, trained by Pym and armed with a suit that allows him to shrink in size, possess superhuman strength and control an army of ants. The miniature hero must use his new skills to prevent Cross, also known as Yellowjacket, from perfecting the same technology and using it as a weapon for evil.
