Scott Cawthon is the creator of the Five Night at Freddy's franchise, as well as other games such as Sit and Survive, The Desolate Hope and Chipper and Sons Lumber company. He is also the co-author of the books Five Night's at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes and Five Night's at Freddy's: The Twisted Ones.
His most popular series is Five Night's at Freddy's. Scott is well-known for teasing the FNaF fandom, including Game Theory. He has commented on many of MatPat's theories, even confirming some of them.
Cawthon also produced a platformer game based on the FNaF characters as a sequel to a FNaF World minigame (FNaF 57: Freddy in Space), titled Freddy in Space 2. It was created both to bring awareness to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital fundraiser, and as a fundraising method itself. For collecting money in game during the livestream, Cawthon stated that he would donate an equal amount to St. Jude's. The stream was finished approximately $50,000 short of Cawthon's stated maximum donation of $500,000, but he donated the full $500,000 anyway. The crew, consisting of MatPat, Stephanie, Markiplier and Dawko, as well as Amy, who conveyed information from the supporting FNaF subreddit during the game, remained after the stream to witness Mark beating the final boss, Cawthon himself.
