Game Information[]
Watch_Dogs is an open world action-adventure third-person shooter game developed and published by Ubisoft. The protagonist is Aiden Pearce, a highly skilled grey hat hacker who is able to hack into the "ctOS", a centralized operating system which manages the hyper-connected city of Chicago, formed after the Northeast blackout of 2003 was caused by a hacker. He seeks revenge after the killing of his niece. The open world design lets players freely roam Chicago, which includes the urban city, suburbs, open countryside, and the run-down neighborhoods that surround downtown. Pearce can hack via his smartphone, allowing him access to various things such as information on any citizen in the city, notifications when a crime is likely to occur in the area, private info of citizens, traffic lights, stop trains, raise security barriers, black out the entire city. It also allows Pearce to summon cars and weaponry. In November 15, 2016, Ubisoft released a sequel titled Watch_Dogs 2.
